“This treatment worked remarkably well for me. But it’s inaccessible to most people. We’re here to change that.”

SHAWN THOMAS
PRACTICE MANAGER

Our beginnings

In 2017, Shawn was diagnosed with a severe form of plaque psoriasis. When a course of topical corticosteroids didn't show much improvement, his dermatologist recommended a biologic prescription treatment. But the high cost, potential side effects, and long-term dependence associated with these biologics gave him pause. He first wanted to explore other options.

Dr. Liao and Dr. Bhutani are clinical researchers and board-certified dermatologists, specialized in using the Goeckerman therapy to treat psoriasis and eczema. Based on the research of Dr. Liao and Dr. Bhutani, Shawn used an adapted version of the Goeckerman therapy for home use and achieved full clearance of his psoriasis in 6 weeks.

They teamed up to start Solay - to give patients access to a personalized, professionally-guided Goeckerman treatment in the comfort of their own home.
